Behind the Laughter: Our Story
For three decades, CSz Richmond Theater has been the heartbeat of comedy in the River City, delighting audiences since 1996. But the magic of improvisation goes far beyond the stage—it builds connection, fosters empathy, and transforms lives.
That is why Yes Balloon was founded in 2017. As the 501(c)(3) nonprofit driving force behind CSz Richmond, Yes Balloon ensures that the "Good Stuff" of improv reaches everyone in our community, regardless of barriers. Through scholarship programs, educational outreach, and accessible performances, we use play and laughter to empower individuals and unite our city.
